Generalization of fonts
Xiao Zhuan, which began in the Qin Dynasty, has a slightly longer font, rounded strokes and beautiful patterns. Li Shu, which began in Qin dynasty, matured and prevailed in Han and Wei dynasties. Its font is wide and flat, stretching left and right, balanced and symmetrical, neat and even. Cursive script originated in the early Han Dynasty and matured in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It is full of freehand brushwork, variety and unrestrained. Regular script, formed in the Eastern Han Dynasty, has square fonts and strict rules.
Seal script is characterized by slender softness, no ups and downs, and a slightly longer font. The characteristics of official script are: vigorous, round, tortuous, swallow-tailed silkworm head and wide and flat font. Regular script is characterized by vigorous, horizontal and vertical, neat and square. The cursive script is characterized by chaos and method, chic and elegant.
