Introduction to Oracle dictionary:
Oracle Dictionary is a dictionary that records Oracle Bone Inscriptions. In the late Qing Dynasty, Liu E, with the word Tieyun, wrote Tieyun Hidden Turtle, which was the first Oracle dictionary in China. In the preface of the book, Liu E describes the process of finding tortoise shell and animal bone characters and Wang's collection of ancient Oracle Bone Inscriptions, and describes the development process of characters from Oracle Bone Inscriptions to calligraphy and then to official script.
Oracle Bone Inscriptions wrote a book:
19 15 Luo Zhenyu in Shangyu, Shaoxing, once worked as a teacher in the Liu family, and also selected dozens of boards from the unrecorded Oracle bones presented by Liu, photocopied and published, and named "Beyond the Iron Cloud Hides the Tortoise". 193 1, the preface to Wu Liu was reprinted by Shanghai cicada hermitage, followed by the tortoise hidden by iron clouds. Each piece is accompanied by Baoding's interpretation.
Many rubbings in this book have been painted with white powder, with distorted handwriting and many mistakes in drawing and misinterpretation. 1939, Shanghai Comte Library obtained a batch of pieces of Oracle bones collected by Wu Zhenping in Huiji, which were verified as old objects of Liu E by Shen, Jin Zutong and Li Danqiu. Although there is a record of "A turtle hidden in an iron cloud", most of them have not been recorded.
The historical evolution of Oracle Bone Inscriptions;
A great period:
From Pan Geng to Wuding for about 100 years, influenced by the flourishing age of Wuding, the calligraphy style is magnificent, which is the acme of oracle calligraphy. Generally speaking, the strokes are round, sharp, tortuous and varied, and they are full of vigor regardless of their size.
2. Sincerely:
It took about forty years from Zu Geng to Zujia. Both of them are holy kings. Calligraphy in this period was sincere, generally inherited the style of the previous generation, stuck to the rules, and rarely made new creations, but it was not as vigorous and bold as the previous generation.
Three stages of decay:
It has been fourteen years since Suan Xin came to Kangding. This period can be said to be the autumn of the decline of literary style in Yin Dynasty. Although there are still many neat books, the paragraphs are patchy, not so regular, a little childish and confused, and the number of typos is not uncommon.
