Notes on the title or background of a book.
This chapter talks about the content of Confucius' teaching and the order from the shallow to the deep. Confucius attached importance to the study and teaching of ancient books and documents, but book knowledge was not enough. He also pays attention to social practice, especially to the cultivation of knowledge and character. From the Analects of Confucius, we can see that Confucius led his students to travel around the world, so that students can increase their knowledge and exercise their talents in practice. However, it is not enough to have book knowledge and practical activities, but also to cultivate good character, loyalty and belief. Generally speaking, Confucius educates students with book knowledge, social practice and moral cultivation.
