Bingling Temple Grottoes were once as famous as Mogao Grottoes. Tickets need 3 yuan. Is it worth traveling?

For the grotto scenery, I believe that Gansu is the first thing that everyone thinks of. After all, there is the most famous Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, and there are countless tourists here every year. But in fact, in addition to this grotto, there is also a grotto about 4 kilometers southwest of Yongjing County, Linxia. Although it is not very famous, this grotto has an important position in the history of Buddhism in China and has a very high historical value. Once as famous as Mogao Grottoes.

This grotto is the Bingling Temple Grottoes. Many people may not have heard of this grotto, but it is widely known as the "Encyclopedia of China Grottoes" because of its rich contents and themes. It can be seen how valuable the things here are, so you will definitely not feel regret when you travel here.

The Bingling Temple Grottoes were dug earlier, which was an important part of the Longxi section of the Silk Road at that time. But I don't know why it's not very famous, so many people don't know about it, so there are not many tourists who come here every year. But if you have been here, you will find that once you enter the scenic spot, the Yellow River is on the right, while the beautiful stone forest is on the left, so the spectacular scene here is really beyond ordinary scenic spots.

Bingling Temple Grottoes, also known as "the best scenic spot in the world", are an excellent treasure trove of geomantic omen. Among the 183 caves, 694 statues and 82 clay sculptures, 8% of them are the contents of the Gelug Sect. Unfortunately, during the Qing Dynasty, some robbers took advantage of it and destroyed some grottoes, which caused the grottoes to plummet. In addition, it was a long way here, and it was slowly forgotten by everyone. It was not discovered again until 1963.

But when it was discovered this time, it was covered with bird droppings. In addition, after thousands of years, wind and rain, many stone statues here have appeared incomplete. The most iconic stone statue in this grotto should be Maitreya Buddha, which was already devastated, but after years of continuous restoration, this giant Buddha has basically recovered its original appearance.

Unexpectedly, as a scenic spot, it is not very famous here, but the tickets are not cheap, as high as 3 yuan, but the scenery here is still very good, and it is worth spending 3 yuan.
