Master Yongming who moved the emperor

When Master Yongming came to the world, he took the body of an ancient Buddha and took the wish to appear in the world. Fang Xian taught by words and wrote books to spread the word. He was also afraid that the scholar would not have a clear path and would be confused about the interests and benefits, so he tried his best to speak out one or four simple verses based on the materials. It can be said that he is the master of Tibetan Buddhism and a teacher of those who have gone astray. It enables scholars to suddenly understand the key to birth and death, and to Nirvana in the eight crosses. His heart to save the world is unprecedented in all ages.

——"The Notes of Master Yinguang"

It is mentioned here that Master Yongming Yanshou is the sixth generation founder of the Pure Land Sect. This patriarch is very special. He is also the third generation patriarch of Fayan Sect in Zen Buddhism, so he is the patriarch of both sects. With such a qualification, he made a "Zenjing Four Ingredients Slip". Master Yongming Yanshou's works include "Zongjinglu", which takes one mind as the sect and all dharma as the mirror. This hundred volumes is very good. It collects the knowledge of Mahayana classics, sects and Huayan sects in different categories, and adds them Interpretation, many of the classics cited are now invisible, and many precious historical materials have been preserved. Emperor Yongzheng highly praised this patriarch and praised him as the first person since Sakyamuni Buddha and a great virtuous teacher.

"Zong Jing Lu", "All Good Things Gather Together", "Shen Qi An Yang Fu", and "Wealth of Mind" are still in circulation. Master Yongming Yanshou "takes the body of an ancient Buddha" and claims to be the return of Amitabha, appearing in this world with the power of the Great Compassion Vow. When this kind of ancient Buddha came back, his legacy was that he was the founder of two sects. He performed one hundred and eight good deeds every day, and recited the Buddha's name every night. The entire night sky resounded with Amitabha's name. The sound of reciting the Buddha's name was so sad that the emperor felt He was very moved and said: "Since ancient times, no one has been as earnest as Master Yongming in seeking rebirth in the Pure Land."

Master Yongming Yanshou was afraid that those who would later learn Buddhism would not be able to see the correct path when choosing the Dharma. The road ahead is unclear, and we don’t understand what benefits will be gained from practicing any method, or what harm will be caused if we practice the wrong method. Therefore, with great compassion and compassion, he boldly spoke out "One and Four Materials Jiangao". This "Yi Si Liao Jian Ji" begins with "There is Zen and there is a pure land, just like a tiger wearing a horn. It is a teacher in this world and a Buddha in the next life." If the situation appears in front of you, just take a glance and let it go." The third stanza is "There is a pure land without Zen, and thousands of people will go there. If you can see Amitabha, why not worry about not being enlightened." The fourth stanza is "Without Zen, there is a pure land." There is no pure land, there is an iron bed and copper pillars, there is no one to rely on for thousands of lives and eons." Four gathas, eighty characters.

Master Yin Guang admired this gatha extremely. This is the outline of Tibetan Buddhism and a tortoise guide for the practice of sentient beings at the end of the Dharma. One word cannot be added. It cannot be reduced by one word. It is created by nature. It is a guide to the maze, a treasure raft in the sea of ??suffering, and a great mentor for us to cross the road and go astray. Let our future practitioners, among these eight crosses, suddenly understand the great way and key to life and death, and to realize Nirvana.
