Does Nanjing Library have to use the original card?

According to official website of Nanjing Library, China citizens who have reached the age of 16 apply for readers' cards of Nanjing Library with their original valid identity documents, while foreigners apply with their original valid passports. Children aged 7 ~ 15 can apply for Nanjing library children's reader card with their household registration book or original ID card. Children aged 0 ~ 6 can apply for Nanjing Library children's reader card with the original household registration book or ID card and guardian's ID card. Visually impaired people apply for the reader's card of Nanjing Library with the original valid identity card (or household registration book) and the original proof of visual disability. Therefore, Nanjing Library must use the original card.
