Practice Qigong? If you don’t have perseverance, I advise you not to think about it. It takes several years or even more than ten years to build the foundation of this thing, and if you don't practice it correctly, it can easily harm your body (it's unlikely that you'll get carried away, but damage to your internal organs may be inevitable. Saying "stop" when swinging a hammer is not as simple as a herniated disc in your waist). Nowadays, there are almost no real and pure Qigong masters. People who really understand Qigong are generally martial arts masters, and most of them are practicing martial arts masters.
The reputation of Qigong was completely ruined by the Qigong craze in the 1980s. At that time, practitioners of any street skill dared to claim that they were Qigong masters. In fact, many so-called Qigong was actually a slow-down square. Dance, it's useless and wastes time. The wheel was also started at that time, and then some people took the opportunity to hype up gimmicks such as "practicing qigong can develop superpowers" (some cities where this kind of fake qigong is more popular have almost turned them into academy cities). Affected by these ghosts and monsters, many people now think that Qigong is fake. But I must say that it is actually true, but it is far less fantasy than what was described in the propaganda and martial arts novels back then. When real Qigong is running, you will only feel a kind of "energy" running in your body, and your consciousness will enter a half-dream and half-awake state. After a certain level, your senses will become sharper, but this requires coordination. Practice martial arts, otherwise you won’t notice even if you notice some small movements that you didn’t notice before. This is my personal experience
Those who say qigong is pseudoscience are themselves superstitious in pseudoscience. Just because you don’t understand something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Gravitational waves are not yet understood by ordinary people, but can we say that they do not exist? Also, it was said that the qigong master was beaten. Can I ask those guys to aim at the pit before farting, so as not to fall into the wrong place? Qigong is not designed to enhance the ability to withstand blows. The increase in physical strength is just an additional effect. Those so-called smashing rocks in the chest or breaking wooden stakes in the legs are either fake qigong or quick-form hard qigong (actually the so-called hard qigong). It is a Kung Fu that is practiced externally and must be combined with fighting skills to be effective). In the true sense, Neijia Gong (qigong in the narrow sense) is for health preservation. This kind of thing won't come down in a few decades. I suggest that you are better off meditating. This is an introduction to things like Qigong and is relatively simple.
