Jiaodong county and Jiaodong county

After Qin Shihuang Ying Zheng unified the six countries, in order to facilitate local governance, the county system was implemented, and Jiaodong County was established in Jiaodong area to administer Jimo. This is the beginning of the word Jiaodong with the name of the administrative region. At that time, Jiaodong county had a wide range, including a part of the west bank of Jiaohe Laihe River. At the end of the Qin Dynasty and the beginning of the Han Dynasty, the overlord of the Western Chu Dynasty once enfeoffed the princes, and Jiaodong State was established at that time.

In the Han dynasty, Jiaodong followed this name, and there was Jiaodong country. The fief of the famous Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was Jiaodong before he became a prince. Jiaodong also ceased to exist with the demise of the Western Han Dynasty. Jiaodong County and Jiaodong County are both called Jiaodong, but the areas under their jurisdiction are still slightly different. However, the scope of the word Jiaodong has basically been determined in this part of the Jiaohe River that enters the sea. Therefore, although "Laiyang County" replaced "Jiaodong Country" in the Eastern Han Dynasty, the name Jiaodong has not been replaced.
