Thirteen Classics, formed in the Southern Song Dynasty, gradually developed from the five classics of the Han Dynasty, namely, The Book of Songs, Shangshu, Zhou Li, Yili, Book of Rites, Yijing, Zuo Zhuan, Gongyang Zhuan, Liang Zhuan and The Analects of Confucius.
