Li Qingzhao was born in a scholarly family. His father, Li, is proficient in classics and history and is good at prose. His mother Wang can also write. Influenced by her family, Li Qingzhao was outstanding in literary talent since childhood, knowing everything about poetry, words, literature, books, paintings and music.
Her words are euphemistic, fresh and sincere, and her creation has a distinctive and unique artistic style, ranking first among the graceful and restrained schools, which has a great influence on later generations and is unique in the field of ci, and is called "Yi 'an Style".
At the age of eighteen, Li Qingzhao married Zhao Mingcheng. After marriage, Qingzhao and her husband fell in love and were inseparable.
However, the good times did not last long. Jin Jun invaded the Song Dynasty, and Li Qingzhao and her husband Zhao Mingcheng crossed to the south. As a result, Zhao Mingcheng died in Jiankang (present-day Nanjing) during his exile, leaving only 15 car of ancient cultural relics and the unfinished half of Jin Shi Lu for Li Qingzhao.
In order to preserve the cultural relics left by her husband, Li Qingzhao decided to go to her husband's sister-in-law Li Zuoquan. So Li Qingzhao had the ancient cultural relics of the 15 car transported away first. As a result, before she arrived in Hongzhou, she got the news of the fall of Hongzhou. 15 car relics turned to ashes.
Helpless, Li Qingzhao had to flee to Shaoxing, Zhejiang with only a few ancient books left. There, Li Qingzhao rented a house of a family named Zhong, and she hid all the remaining cultural relics under her couch.
One day, the cultural relics suddenly disappeared, and anxious Li Qingzhao quickly offered a reward to find something. At this time, a landlord named Zhong appeared in front of her with eighteen volumes and asked her for a reward. It turns out that all this was done by the landlord. In order to get back her husband's relics, Li Qingzhao had to give the landlord a large reward, and she could not afford to get sick herself.
Li Qingzhao later defected to her brother Li Wei's house. Although she is over 500 years old, she will support her body and continue to finish the Story of the Stone.
Just when Li Qingzhao was alone, a person who claimed to be her husband's colleague appeared. This man's name is Zhang Ruzhou.
Zhang Ruzhou is a close friend of Zhao Mingcheng and also knows Li Qingzhao's younger brother Li Yu. Zhang Ruzhou learned that Li Qingzhao had a large collection of stones and cultural relics, so he expressed his love and appreciation for Li Qingzhao either explicitly or implicitly.
For my younger brother Li Wei, my sister, as a weak woman, bears a pile of gold and stones in the troubled times, and the dangers and difficulties she will encounter are unimaginable. What's more, my sister was so sad about her brother-in-law's death that she was ill for a long time. Instead of indulging in the past, she might as well find another good object. Finding another husband can take care of her and protect her in troubled times.
The appearance of Zhang Ruzhou is very in line with this demand. Most importantly, Zhang Ruzhou, dressed in disguise, dared to speak out and show sympathy for the people, so Li Jue persuaded her sister Li Qingzhao: "Zhang Ruzhou is the same age and official position as her brother-in-law."
For Li Qingzhao, she and Zhao Mingcheng have no children, which means that she has no children to rely on in her later years. Although she has a younger brother, Li Wei, he has no obligation to provide for himself. It seems that if she wants a stable old age, remarriage is a good choice.
On the one hand, it is Zhang Ruzhou's earnest pursuit, and on the other hand, his younger brother understands each other's good intentions. Even though public opinion was in uproar at that time, Li Qingzhao resisted rumors and rashly decided to remarry.
There are not many ancient documents about how Zhang Ruzhou coaxed Li Qingzhao's sister and brother into trusting him, but they are mentioned in a few records. When Li Qingzhao was alone, he used it with ulterior motives, comforted her gently and took care of her in every possible way. He even collected Gu Shuhua's works by hook or by crook, trying to win the favor of Li Qingzhao.
Related materials also recorded a small incident: when Li Qingzhao was recovering from illness at his younger brother's house, Zhang Ruzhou found a painting by Wu Daozi, a "painter", so he took it to visit the Li family, deliberately claiming that he didn't know the authenticity of the painting and wanted to invite Yi 'an laity to taste it.
Li Qingzhao wanted to avoid suspicion at that time, but she couldn't resist the temptation of Wu Daozi's paintings, so she reluctantly met Zhang Ruzhou, who took the opportunity to be caring and attentive and dedicated her paintings to Li Qingzhao. Since then, the pursuit of Li Qingzhao has become more enthusiastic.
Zhang Ruzhou is caring and attentive to Li Qingzhao. Therefore, when the matchmaker sent by Zhang Ruzhou was full of vows, Li Qingzhao and his younger brother Li Wei believed that Zhang Ruzhou could make Li Qingzhao get a warm and stable happiness.
As a result, under the pressure of the secular, Li Qingzhao finally entered the controversial second marriage without fear of "failing to protect her on the last day".
After the marriage, Zhang Ruzhou's appearance as a philistine gradually emerged, and all his purpose was only to get the property in Li Qingzhao's hand. After discovering that Li Qingzhao did not have the legendary large collection of stone, he gave her the cold shoulder and even punched and kicked her.
Later, Li Qingzhao wrote in "Gift to Cousin": "If you invade, you can read Liu Ling's rib, but you can't hit Schleswig's fist."
After Zhang Ruzhou tore off the disguise, Li Qingzhao discovered Zhang Ruzhou's insincerity, hated her ignorance, and flatly rejected Zhang Ruzhou's request for property.
Later, Li Qingzhao discovered that Zhang Ruzhou's official position came from accepting bribes. Unbearable, she filed a divorce with Zhang Ruzhou and sued Zhang Ruzhou for "increasing the number of candidates without authorization", which led to Zhang Ruzhou being dismissed from office and exiled.
According to the law of the Song Dynasty, no matter what reason a wife sues her husband, she will go to jail, and Li Qingzhao will go to jail for 9 days. Because his family bribed the jailer, he was released after nine days in prison. At this point, this marriage, which lasted 100 days, ended in both losses.
This failed and short-lived marriage undoubtedly gave Li Qingzhao a deep blow. That naive and talented girl is now "everything is a matter of time, tears flow first."
After being exiled for many years, Li Qingzhao was criticized by the literati class for remarriage, and suffered more serious physical and mental damage, and finally died alone in Jiangnan.
