Shennong Ben Cao Jing is the first monograph on drugs written in the late Eastern Han Dynasty in China, which contains 365 kinds of drugs, including a variety of foods, such as jujube, lotus root, yam, ginseng, medlar, Schisandra chinensis, rehmannia glutinosa, coix seed, poria cocos, adenophora, ginger, scallion, angelica sinensis, Fritillaria, almond, dark plum, velvet antler, walnut, lotus seed and honey.
