I know how to make incense with wild agarwood.

You have a tree, now all you have to do is make it fragrant! The so-called agarwood is the balsam of Daphne trunk invaded and parasitized by fungi, which is formed after a long period of deposition. It is a precious medicinal material, which has the functions of removing dirt and pathogens, and calming the liver. It is very rare now, and it is often found in inaccessible and dangerous mountains and forests, so it is very precious and rare. Ancient books have long recorded that Hainan is rich in high-quality agarwood. In the Song Dynasty, Hainan Aquilaria sinensis gradually became a commodity from the imperial tribute, and the trend of over-exploitation became more and more fierce, "millions of dollars". Artificial incense method: Aquilaria sinensis can only be incense after mechanical (artificial and natural) damage. To judge whether a tree is fragrant or not, we must first look at its appearance and shape. Under normal circumstances, if the branches and leaves turn yellow and die locally, we can generally judge that it is fragrant. Therefore, there is a saying that there are scars, incense, insects and ants. The stem of Aquilaria sinensis is only fragrant when it is injured. Only after being cut by a knife, eaten by insects or rotted by diseases can you be infected by fungi. Under the action of enzymes secreted by hyphae, starch or other organic substances stored in some parenchyma cells of wood produce a series of changes, and finally form balsam. So it can be promoted by manual intervention. Cutting method: Generally, choose trees above 8-lOa, with a diameter of about 30cm, and cut several times from the ground 1.5-2m. The knife spacing is about 30=40cm, and the wound depth is about 3-4cm. After a period of time, the xylem near the wound will secrete oily substances, which is agarwood. Artificial inoculation method: from the same side of the trunk from top to bottom, every 40-50 cm, open the incense door in the direction perpendicular to the trunk, and then wrap it with plastic film to prevent the infection of miscellaneous bacteria and the harm of insects and ants, and keep the water needed by bacteria. Drilling method: Saw off the wound on the trunk at a distance of 1-2m from the base of the trunk, and the depth is about 1/3 ~ 1/4. Several wounds can be sawed at different heights in the same direction, with a distance of 30-40 cm and a width of about 3-4 cm, which is called "opening the incense door". It is still possible to continue to make incense after the incense door has taken it. Method of extracting fragrance from dead trees: the trunk of Aquilaria sinensis is often damaged by pests and diseases, or blown down by the wind, folded by the wind and struck by lightning, resulting in tree dryness, decay or death. These parts are often fragrant and of excellent quality.
