As the first university archaeological museum in China, the museum was formerly known as 1922, which was established in Peking University. Its collection covers stone tools, bronzes, Oracle Bone Inscriptions, pottery, porcelain, calligraphy and painting, inscriptions and so on.
Among them, three stone age exhibitions are the most interesting: Jinniushan people in Yingkou, Liaoning, the Neolithic site in Beizhuang, Changdao, Shandong, and Mayao Quwo, Shanxi. The terracotta warriors and horses unearthed from Chen Fanghan's tomb in the Cultural Relics Exhibition of the Three Kingdoms, the Jin Dynasty and the Southern and Northern Dynasties will also open your eyes. Although Han terracotta warriors are not as gorgeous as Qin terracotta warriors, they are meticulous and lovely.
