Knowledge of Six Chapters of a Floating Life;

Shen Fu, a Qing native, lived in the years of Qing Ganjia and Daoguang. Because he has never been famous, he has only traveled around all his life (occasionally doing business) and has never received social attention. After that, he visited the ignorant people in the city for only forty years, and Shen Fuchang was unable to make his work Six Chapters of a Floating Life pass down in Fu Zi because of his poverty. It was not until the third year of Guangxu (1877) that Yang Yinchuan, the brother-in-law of Wang Tao, a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, found the residual manuscript of Six Chapters of a Floating Life in a cold stall in Suzhou, and everyone was fascinated by it. Yang Yinchuan and Wang Tao prefaced it respectively. At the end of the volume, there are six poems of Six Chapters of a Floating Life, subtitled as Six Chapters of a Floating Life by Shen He, a preface and an appendix to Six Chapters of a Floating Life written by Xiang Chan Jingshe in the 13th year of Tongzhi (1874), and Six Chapters of a Floating Life is printed and published in movable type, which is the fourth volume.
