How to improve strength

My concentration has been poor recently. Today, I suddenly realized that I missed the important link of abstinence.

Meditation is closely related to Vipassana. Without meditation, it is impossible to practice Vipassana. Without real practice, it is impossible to produce wisdom and penetrate the essence of the five aggregates. This is the order of Buddhist practice.

When most people hear the word "meditation", they naturally associate it with luxurious meditation (four Zen and eight Zen). In fact, the meditation, or meditation, mentioned in primitive Buddhism does not specifically refer to extravagant rubbing of him (although extravagant rubbing of him plays a very important role in calming the mind). What is needed to cultivate Vipo Vipassana is determined in an instant.

Now, more and more people are studying the four minds revealed by the Buddha, which is a good phenomenon. However, some people will understand "meditation" as only referring to rubbing his luxury, so he draws a wrong conclusion that he must practice the first or fourth meditation, or even the higher four meditation, in order to practice the four mindfulness. Others think that meditation has nothing to do with liberation, and there is no need to practice meditation.

The center of southern Buddhism is Vipassana. Through Vipassana meditation, I have a thorough understanding of physical and mental phenomena. When I see that my body and mind are impermanent, bitter and egoless, I feel relieved. In order to practice meditation, practitioners need to know that concentration is crucial. Think about it, how can you observe the birth and death of the five aggregates without the present concentration? If we don't have an exact understanding of the essence of the five aggregates, getting rid of our troubles will become an empty talk.

If you want to observe the phenomenon of instantaneous birth and death of five aggregates, you need at least the ability to approach meditation. This is not a very high meditation. The average person can achieve this level of concentration as long as he can train hard for a period of time. When a yogi has the ability of awareness and continuous mindfulness, he will have deep concentration. Only when these abilities are sufficient can he practice Vipassana. If the yogi has enough ability, he can observe the essence of the five aggregates in an instant-impermanence of life and death. When we can see life and death, the aversion to leaving wisdom will arise, and the subsequent "accompanying wisdom" will also arise, so the Tao heart and the fruit heart will arise.

Therefore, in meditation, meditation is very important. Where does meditation come from?

The Buddha told us that "determination" comes from precepts, and only with precepts can it be determined. This is the three schools of Buddhism, namely "abstinence from wisdom".

Abide by the precepts, you will have a deep concentration-the heart will not leave. Based on such a scattered mind, and through the training of keeping the mind safe, the mind of the walker will reach a certain degree needed for introspection. At this point, he can meditate. With the peace of mind-the active observation of the mind for an instant, we can gain insight into the body and mind, which is the practice of thinking and living.

So the relationship between meditation and wisdom is very close. Without meditation, it is impossible to practice in the true sense. Without meditation, wisdom cannot be produced. Because wisdom comes from Zen, it is impossible to practice Zen without certainty.

Some practitioners think that it is enough to practice Vipassana directly, and there is no need to practice concentration. So he practiced hard for many years and it didn't work. This is the problem of insufficient concentration. Vipassana meditation is inseparable from concentration. Without meditation, we cannot observe the truth of body and mind, and wisdom will not come out of thin air.

Only when you have precepts can you have determination, and only when you have determination can you have wisdom. This is the most basic practice order revealed by the Buddha. No matter how many kinds of meditation there are, it always boils down to abstinence, determination and wisdom. First, keep the precepts, and at the same time keep your mind as if you are practicing peace, so that you can calm down and have concentration. Only by focusing can you begin to meditate.

"It is a relief for a person to concentrate on thinking, not to let go of life, to stay away from what I see, and not to miss everything." These are words from Buddhist scriptures. In fact, these words of the Buddha are the guidance for practicing the Four Hearts. If you don't let go, you will decide. If the meditator does not "settle down", it is impossible to "concentrate on thinking". Without "precept", it is impossible to "live in seclusion", so "leave me alone" becomes a castle in the air. Practice is a real thing. It is obvious that practice cannot be operated without meditation.

Generally speaking, people will have some experience. Be careful, you can't think methodically in a very chaotic situation. Because of poor concentration, you can't think and observe carefully, you can't directly think and observe your body and mind, you can't see the difference between name and color, and you can't practice; Can't "I see" be broken without real practice and seeing the body and mind that are born and died in an instant?

Buddhist precepts, determination and wisdom are a very scientific system. From precepts, you get concentration, from concentration, you get Zen, and from Zen, you get wisdom. This is the complete Buddhism, that is, the three studies of abstinence, determination and wisdom, that is, the practice of the eight right paths.

Recognizing the relationship between abstinence and wisdom, the yogi will treat practice truly, and he will practice step by step from the discipline. Many true meditators take precepts as their teachers, keep them strict all their lives, and practice meditation diligently. Then, they continue to practice four minds, so their practice often makes great progress.
