The knowledge of cultural relics appraisal has existed since ancient times, and some special works such as calligraphy and painting and Yu Shi have been left behind, but many of them are sporadic and brief, lacking systematic and theoretical summary. According to their practical experience in painting, calligraphy, bronze, ceramics and other utensils, modern scholars have compiled many appraisal monographs, which have been comprehensively discussed from vertical and horizontal aspects, theories and examples, laying a scientific foundation for modern appraisal. However, many tools, such as handicrafts and sculptures, still lack systematic evaluation theory monographs. Today, with the "cultural relics craze in China" in the ascendant, Guangxi Normal University Press has decided to publish a complete set of books on cultural relics appraisal in China, which will widely spread the common sense of cultural relics appraisal. This is undoubtedly a great support for cultural relics work and also reflects the publishing purpose of "social benefits first".
