Brief introduction of Hunan University Library

There are three buildings in the library of Hunan University: the South Campus General Library, the North Campus Branch Library and the Special Collection Branch Library. Located at the foot of Yuelu Mountain, the Royal Library Building, the special collection branch and the main library of Yuelu Academy are distributed on the central axis of Hunan University from west to east, bearing the historical track of the development of China library, forming a strange landscape in which ancient libraries, modern libraries and modern libraries echo each other from afar. As of May 20 15, the library of Hunan University has a total area of more than 35,000 square meters, more than 3,800 reading seats and more than 20 reading rooms with different service functions, with weekly opening hours of1010.5 hours. Hunan University Library is a member of the Steering Committee of Library and Information Work in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, the director of the Library and Information Work Committee of Hunan Colleges and Universities, and the unit where the Secretariat is located. It is also the main member of Hunan Library Society and Hunan Science and Technology Information Society. Based on the library, the school established the Information College of Hunan University. For twenty years, he has been the editor-in-chief and undertaker of the magazine "University Library Work" (CN43-1032/G2 ISSN1003-7845).
