What is the history of the book "Yi"?

Yi people have their own language. Yi language belongs to the Tibeto-Burman language family of Sino-Tibetan language family. Yi language is a syllable language, which was formed in13rd century. There are six dialects in Yi language. Although some dialects are quite different, they all have obvious historical origins and certain Chinese reference. Yi language has syllables, commonly known as the old Yi language. There are now more than 10,000 ancient Yi languages. 1975 adopted the Yi language standard scheme and began to try it out in the Yi area of Sichuan.
