Datong Book is a series of modern philosophy compiled by Kang Youwei in modern times. It started at 1884, and was published in 190 1 902 and 19 13 in unbearable magazine in two volumes. Zhonghua Book Company has published ten volumes.
Exposed all kinds of sufferings caused by human inequality, and put forward "going to the nine realms" to realize "great harmony" of mankind. Advocating an improved and gradual method to realize this society. It shows the equal spirit of democracy and some socialist fantasies. 1956 Beijing Ancient Books Publishing House borrowed a copy from the Kang family and made a copy with reference to other schools.

In this book, Kang Youwei conceived a world of great harmony based on the theory of the third generation of Yang Gong School, the theory of well-off and great harmony in Li Yunpian, the compassion and equality in Buddhism, the freedom and equality in Christian fraternity, Rousseau's theory of natural human rights and the theory of utopian socialism in Europe. So Kang Youwei named this book Datong Book.
