How is the cold and fever solved by Chinese medicine? Syndrome differentiation of six meridians is a common method in traditional Chinese medicine.

Fever is a common disease in life, which means that the temperature rises beyond the normal range. Generally speaking, there are two main causes of fever, one is infectious fever and the other is non-infectious fever.

Infectious fever is very common, mostly caused by pathogens such as bacteria and viruses invading the body. If you eat the food that gets angry for a long time, the heat can't be discharged, which will easily lead to the decline of human immunity and more prone to fever problems.

There are many factors of non-infectious fever, most of which are caused by primary disease, and some are caused by nervous system and other reasons, such as hyperthyroidism, rheumatic fever, autonomic nervous dysfunction and so on.

When you have a fever, the most common symptoms are bitter taste, vomiting, repeated fever, loss of appetite, redness of the skin, chills, general pain, sweating, dehydration, weakness and so on.

In traditional Chinese medicine, there are many reasons for fever, which can be roughly divided into exogenous fever and internal injury fever. Exogenous fever can be subdivided into wind-heat and wind-cold, and wind-cold can be subdivided into sweating and anhidrosis, and the treatment methods are different.

For the specific explanation of fever, the theory of traditional Chinese medicine is similar to modern theory. In the interpretation of traditional Chinese medicine, fever is considered to be the result of the struggle between good and evil.

When pathogens enter the human body, they will collide with the healthy qi of the human body (phagocytosis of white blood cells and pathogens), thus consuming people's vitality and generating fever.

In treatment, there are many ways of TCM treatment, such as syndrome differentiation of six meridians and pathological mechanism.

For example, the sun is hot, the disease is due to wind-cold, and there are symptoms such as aversion to cold, fever and bad wind, which can be treated with Mahuang Decoction and Guizhi Decoction.

Yangming meridian has fever, and the disease belongs to heat evil, which is full of Yangming meridian, with symptoms such as fever, sweating, thirst, cold hands and feet, and red tongue coating. Zhu Ling decoction and Xiaochengqi decoction can be used for treatment.

The shaoyang meridian has fever, and the disease belongs to the stagnation of heat pathogen in shaoyang meridian, fullness in chest and hypochondrium, upset, hypochondriac pain, loss of appetite, alternating cold and heat, and heat pathogen is half exterior and half interior. It is suitable for (Baiyun Mountain) Xiaochaihu Granules to relieve exterior syndrome, soothe the liver and regulate the stomach, and relieve the uncomfortable symptoms caused by exogenous pathogenic factors committing shaoyang syndrome.

Modern research has also confirmed that Xiaochaihu Granules do have good antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, immune enhancement and liver protection effects, which provides evidence for the antipyretic mechanism of Xiaochaihu Granules.

Taiyin meridian belongs to heat, and disease belongs to cold evil. Symptoms are vomiting when the abdomen is full, unable to eat, not thirsty in the mouth, and sometimes abdominal pain. Atractylodes macrocephala, gypsum, Pinellia ternata and dried ginger soup are all acceptable.

Shaoyin meridian has fever, and the disease belongs to cold pathogen, so Mahuang Fuzi Asarum Decoction should be used.

Jueyin meridian belongs to heat, disease belongs to yin and yang, and cold and heat are mixed. Symptoms are upset and thirsty, tongue rolling and contraction, delirium and constipation, and cold hands and feet, so Wu Mei Pills should be used.
