Ban Biao (AD 3 -54), a native of Fufeng Anling (now northeast of Xianyang, Shaanxi), was born in a powerful Confucian family in the Han Dynasty and was greatly influenced by family studies. I was good at the ancients since I was a child, and I studied with my brothers and sisters, and my name gradually became apparent. At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, in order to escape the war and reach Tianshui, he attached himself to Wei and tried to persuade him to return to Han and influence him, but the result failed. Later, he went to Hexi (now Hexi Corridor) to work for General Dou Rong and urged Dou Rong to support Guangwudi. At the beginning of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Ju Maocai was appointed as the magistrate of Xu County, and was exempted from official duties due to illness. Ban Biao is knowledgeable, talented and good at historical writing. He wrote more than 60 biographies, considered the previous history and corrected the gains and losses, which was valued by future generations. His son Ban Gu compiled Han Shu, and most of the historical materials are based on Ban Biao, which is actually a continuation of his historical revision work. His daughter, Ban Zhao, and others supplemented the tasks they failed to complete.
Ban Gu: (A.D. 3 1-92) Meng Jian, a native of Fufeng Anling (now Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province) in the Eastern Han Dynasty, was the eldest son of Ban Biao. Historians and writers in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Born into a bureaucratic family with a scholarly family for generations, he received a good education from an early age. At the age of nine, he was able to write articles and recite poems. He entered Luoyang Imperial College at the age of sixteen. He was widely read and knowledgeable, and was unanimously praised by scholars at that time. After Ban Biao's death, he inherited his father's will and continued to complete the compilation of Biography of Historical Records.
Ban Zhao: Female, also known as Banji (AD 49- 120), the daughter of Ban Gu, a historian of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and Ban Biao, the sister of Ban Chao. She is a famous talented woman in the history of China. Because her husband's surname is Cao, she is called Cao Dajia (Yingu) in history. After her husband's death, He Di appreciated her talent and made her work in the palace as the Pope's queen and concubine. The eight tables and chronicles of Hanshu were not completed, and the manuscript was lost, so she was ordered to repair it. His works include 16 articles such as Fu, Fu, Door, Note, Funeral, Book, Argument, Legacy and Female Order. It was also promoted to the status of "female saint". Her son was appointed as Shanhaiguan Hou, and another son, Cao Su, also stayed in Chen as an official. After her death, Empress Dowager Cixi sent people to watch the funeral as a gift.
