Introduction to Buyi language
The language used by the Buyi people in China is Selqyaix. With the Buyi ancient books in Libo County, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture being recognized as "national treasures" by the state in 2008, Buyi was officially recognized as one of the 18 ethnic groups in China with its own traditional national language. In the history of Buyi nationality, several ancient Chinese characters (symbol type, square type, CV type and Latin alphabet type) were invented and created, which were mainly used to write the ethnic and religious writing "sel mol". After the founding of New China, in order to better inherit and carry forward Buyi culture, 1956 formulated Buyi language based on Latin alphabet. 198 1, revised according to Wangmo dialect of Buyi language.
