Features of Jinhua Museum's venues

Jinhua Museum is located in the historical and cultural protection area of the ancient city, beside the Wujiang River. Relying on cultural relics and traditional streets and lanes, it sets off the beautiful scenery of the three rivers and six banks and blends with the rich historical and cultural atmosphere of the ancient city. The total construction area of the municipal museum project is 1.36 million square meters, including an exhibition hall of 4,700 square meters and a collection of more than 37,000 pieces (sets) of ancient cultural relics. There are five exhibition halls, namely, Jinhua's "Eight Wu Ancient Rhymes" exhibition hall from the historical perspective, Jinhua's "Magic Land" exhibition hall from the geological perspective, Jinhua's "Local Folk Custom" exhibition hall from the ancient village perspective, Jinhua's "Hometown of Hundred Workers" exhibition hall from the industrial and commercial civilization perspective, and Jinhua's "Family Poems" exhibition hall from the literary perspective. It is a prefecture-level comprehensive museum integrating education, collection and research, carrying forward and inheriting excellent traditional culture, displaying historical remains and spreading cultural knowledge. It is an important historical and cultural landmark in our city, a window of spiritual civilization and a cultural home for the vast audience. After years of construction, renovation and upgrading, the Municipal Museum was officially opened to the public on September 28th, 20 15. Visitors can visit for free by swiping their ID cards.
