At the Teknofest 2023 air show, which opened on April 27th, 2023, Baykar Company of Turkey exhibited the "Kemanke" cruise missile for UAV.
Archer cruise missiles can be launched from various UAVs, such as TB2, TB3 and Akinci. The bomb weighs 30 kilograms, has a length of 1.73 meters, a wingspan of 1.25 meters, a range of more than 200 kilometers, a battery life of 1 hour, a cruising speed of 360 kilometers/hour, a maximum flying speed of 720 kilometers/hour and a maximum flying height of 6000 meters. The power plant is 1 small turbojet engine. The warhead weighs 6 kilograms.
The guidance mode is TV guidance+bidirectional data link. There is an optical equipment window in the front of the missile, including 1 camera with 36 times magnification, laser rangefinder and data link equipment, and an autopilot supported by AI technology is integrated. The control distance of the missile-borne data link is 50km, and Baykar plans to increase it to100km.
It can be seen that in order to adapt to the drones of TB2 and TB3 sizes, the size of "shooter" is considered as a "mini" level in cruise missiles. In terms of price, Archer is also cheap enough, with a unit price of less than $20,000.
