The sutra depository is a place where temples give lectures. In the 13th year of Yongzheng (A.D. 1735), during the renovation of Shaolin Temple, the original Sutra Pavilion was moved to Fatang, so the Fatang was also called "Sutra Pavilion". The original building was destroyed in 1928, and 1993 was rebuilt according to the old system.

Nanyue Hengshan Tibetan Classics Pavilion
Located at the foot of Xiangguang Peak in Nanyue, it was built in the second year of Chen Feiguang in the Southern Dynasty (AD 568), formerly known as "Little Prajna Zen Forest".
Later, because the Ming emperor Zhu Yuanzhang gave a tripitaka, it was renamed Sanzang Hall.
The present temple was rebuilt by 1933. This is an ancient building with glazed tiles, red walls and single eaves. The temple is unique and rigorous, simple and elegant, like a pearl embedded in a lush jungle.
Renovated in the 1980s, the hall is painted with exquisite skills and vivid carvings.
In particular, in the autumn of 1980, Mr. Huang, a Thai Chinese, and his wife, Ms. Ouyang Hui, presented the gold and bronze Buddha statue named "Pilu Jinna", which was pure gold-plated and exquisite, adding a new color to the cultural relics in South Vietnam.
