During Sima Yan's reign in the Western Jin Dynasty, an ancient book, Annals of Bamboo Books, was unearthed in the tomb of Warring States in Ji Jun County, which recorded the deeds of Yi Yin, the founding hero of Shang Dynasty: "Zhong Ren collapsed, and Yi Yin expanded its armor to stand on its own feet. Yi Yin acceded to the throne, seven years, Tai Jia attacked the child and killed Yi Yin; It is to set up his sons, Yiyi and Yifen, to restore his father's farmland and divide it. "
Here comes the trouble. You know, Yi Yin has always been called a wise man by Confucianism, but now he wants to be a traitor.
So, is Yi Yin recorded in the bamboo chronicles true?
Let's take a look at the annals of bamboo books first.
Chronology of Bamboo Books actually comes from an unearthed document, Bamboo Books in Jizhong. However, unlike the unearthed documents today, it is a bamboo slip found during a grave robbery in the Western Jin Dynasty.
At first, grave robbers didn't know what these things were, so they wanted to use them as torches. Fortunately, this matter reached the ears of Emperor Wu of Jin, and he sent the best people to sort out these bamboo slips.
These bamboo slips are very rich in content, and the one that records history is called a bamboo book. It is precisely because this book is rich in content that many people used it as a reference book when writing books in the Jin and Han Dynasties. Such as Sima Yi's Historical Records, Zuo Zhuan's Justice of Thirteen Classics, Li Daoyuan's Notes on Water Classics, and Guo Pu's Notes on Mountains and Seas Classics.
But what makes people sigh is that this book, which was finally salvaged, is gone. However, the wisdom of the ancients should not be underestimated. Zhu Youceng first picked out the sentences that quoted Zhushuzhi sentence by sentence from the vast sea of books and compiled a book, which was written by Zhu Youceng and spoke highly of the value of Zhushuzhi. Wang Guowei saw "Ji Zhong Ji Nian Villages and Towns" and thought that You Zhu was really talented, and the value of the book was also very high, so he wrote "Compilation and Correction of Ancient Bamboo Records" on this basis.
Let's look at Yi Yin again.
According to Shangshu and Mozi? Shang Xian ","Chu Ci? Tian Wen, Mencius and Lv Chunqiu. Historical books, biographies, historical records and other ancient books record that Yi Yin and Xin's (Caoxian County, Shandong Province) were domestic slaves in the late summer, and they were resourceful. Later, I went to Shangtang as a dowry with Xin's daughter. Tang first appointed him as a cook or something. Later, Ta used her intelligence to win the appreciation of Tang and was entrusted with a heavy responsibility. He became famous in the battle of singing, destroyed Xia Jie and started the inheritance of Shang Dynasty.
After Tang's death, he supported and helped his son successively. After Zhong Ren's death, Tai Jia, the grandson of Tang Dynasty, became king, but after Tai Jia succeeded to the throne, he indulged in singing and dancing and was indifferent to the state affairs. Yi Yin remonstrated for many times without success, so he simply sent Taijia to live in a palace built next to Tang Yutong's mausoleum, which was also convenient for him to reflect. In history, it was called "Yi Yin put too much armor". Three years later, Tai Jia turned over a new leaf, and Yi Yin personally carried the king's crown, went to the East Palace to greet him back to Beijing, and gave it to the major government offices, taking photos himself. In fact, Yi Yin was the assistant of the five emperors of Shang Dynasty, and he didn't die until the reign of Woding, the son of Tai Jia, at the age of over one hundred.
Later generations honored him as the first saint in the history of China.
One is a highly credible history book, and the other is Yi Yin, who has been regarded as a saint in all dynasties. Which is the real Yi Yin?
