It not only created all things purposefully, but also created people purposefully (everyone was born in heaven), and specially sent its son, the son of heaven (king, father, mother, son of heaven), to rule the people on the earth on its behalf (the ordered king prospers in heaven, and the four directions dare not disobey it). However, according to White Tiger Yi Tong, the supreme God is silent and invisible. Therefore, in order to explain the emergence of human beings and their civilization more concretely and vividly, White Tiger Yi Tong also mentioned the origin of Qi in Yi Gan Wei Chi Du. The beginning is the beginning of the omen; Tai Su's view that quality is the beginning has been introduced into his world view, and he thinks that the beginning is a day. At first there was a beginning, and then there was a beginning; This sign is finished. It is called Tai Su. Chaos is connected, you can't see or hear, and then you can judge, separate turbidity from turbidity, refine cloth and apply it to life. In this way, nature was born. After natural production, the essence of qi between heaven and earth is three lights and five elements. The five elements produce temperament, and temperament produces juice (fighting). In fighting, god gives birth to virtue, and virtue gives birth to articles. (4) Human beings and human civilization also came into being. Under the signboard of the Most High God, White Tiger Yi Tong copied the quotations from Shu Tai, Shu Tai and Tai Su from Yi Wei. On the surface, it seems that the universe is differentiated from qi, but in fact, it is an idealistic philosophical explanation of the formation and creation of heaven by distorting the world view of qi. Because, it is still the day that plays a decisive role here. What is the day? What is a paradise in a small town? Condescending is also a town of people. As for Qi and the five elements, they are just substances used by heaven to generate nature and human civilization, and the generation and change of the whole universe are also arranged by the highest god-heaven.
Since heaven created man, man should conform to heaven in everything, especially the son of heaven, what heaven ordered and created, and should act according to God's will. "White Tiger Yi Tong" holds that if the Emperor of Heaven implements the rule of virtue, his rule will be in harmony with the sky, and the gods will descend to various Fu Rui as a reward, that is, the world is at peace, and those who come here with Fu Rui think that Wang Chengtian is justified and Yin and Yang are harmonious; Harmony of Yin and Yang, the order of all things, lack of qi and stuffing, so it is appropriate to restore virtue. (3) On the other hand, if the son of heaven made any mistakes in the process of ruling the people, and there was anything against God's will, the gods would drop all kinds of strange phenomena to urge the son of heaven to change evil and do good. That is: why is there a catastrophe in the sky? Therefore, we should blame people, realize our own behavior, repent, cultivate our morality and think deeply. (4) Fu Rui's theory of disasters in White Tiger Yi Tong is actually a copy of the theological superstition of the unity of man and nature and the unity of man and god since Dong Zhongshu, and there is nothing new.
Since the sovereignty of the monarch comes from the gifts of the gods, and since he is the son of the gods, the emperor should be as filial to the gods as his father's son. But the immortal is high above, how can the emperor express filial piety to the immortal? "White Tiger Yi Tong" believes that one of the ways is to hold grand suburban sacrifices regularly. "White Tiger Yi Tong" says: Why does Wang worship heaven and serve his father? ..... Sacrifice to heaven must be in the suburbs, and celestial bodies must be bright, so sacrifice to heaven must be in the suburbs, so take it clean. ..... Sacrifice to the sky, one year old, saying that the sky is supreme and things dare not be profaned, so the sacrifice to the sky is because the sun is the spirit of one year old. Those who worship heaven and enjoy themselves are also gods. Apart from offering sacrifices, whenever the monarch engages in major political activities such as conquering and hunting, he must also report to the gods: (Wang conquers), so he tells God what he dares to do, indicating that he dares to teach himself. (2) patrol hunting, must sacrifice to heaven.
This inaugural ceremony is for heaven, and it is a sacrifice to heaven, so it is also reported. In order to know God's will in time and act according to God's will, White Tiger Yi Tong thinks that some places must be built to feel the gods. The so-called Three Braves, especially Ggv 10 and Tang Ming, is such a place. Through gv 10 and Tang Ming, the son of heaven can communicate with the gods. "White Tiger Yi Tong" said: Why does the son of heaven have a platform? Therefore, there is no good reason to test the heart of heaven and man, the meeting of yin and yang, and the meeting of stars. He also said: the son of heaven made a famous name, so he knew the gods and felt the world. At four o'clock, be enlightened, keep morality, emphasize morality, show ability, and praise the walker. There are eight windows and four rows below the temple, and the Buzheng Palace is in the sunshine of the country. Above is the hovering sky, below is the hovering ground. Eight windows are like eight winds, four windows are like four o'clock, nine rooms are like Kyushu, twelve seats are like December, thirty-six households are like thirty-six rains, and seventy-two winds are like seventy-two. "White Tiger Yi Tong" holds that the son of heaven should not only observe the "God's will" on the platform and in the hall, but also check the Yin-Yang and the five elements that God uses to produce all things, and directly control the changes of seasons and all things, because God's will is expressed through the Yin-Yang and the five elements they indicate. White Tiger Yi Tong said: The five elements are also called gold, wood, water, fire and earth. Teach by example and speak for justice. (5) Among the five elements, wood is shaoyang, living in the east and dominating spring; Fire is the sun, located in the south, in charge of summer; Gold is shaoyin, located in the west, in charge of autumn; The water is lunar, located in the north, in charge of winter; The earth is cloudy, located in the center and in charge of the four seasons. At the same time, the gods also sent five emperors, five gods and five spirits to sit in the five places: Fu Xi, the king of Mudd, was the Spring Emperor, Ju Mang, the wooden god, rode two dragons with human faces, and Qinglong Jing sat in the east; Emperor Shen Nong, the fire king, sat in the south, and Zhu Rong Vulcan also rode two green dragons, Zhu Bird Essence and Red Tail. With King Jinde, the son of the Yellow Emperor, Emperor Shaoluo, Ru Shou, the golden god riding two big dragons, and Bai Hujing, the golden beast; Emperor Zhuan Xu, the grandson of the Yellow Emperor, sat in the north with Xuan Ming, a beast with a human face, two green snakes in his ears and two water gods with green snakes in his feet, the tortoise and the snake Xuanwu Jing. The yellow emperor and the land god, the land king, sat in the middle. (1) In this way, the five elements of Yin and Yang, spring and summer, autumn and winter, southeast and northwest are all under the direct control of the five emperors, five gods and five spirits sent by the gods. Yin-yang and five elements have been completely deified. Therefore, in White Tiger Yi Tong, if the son of heaven wants to act according to God's will, he must first act according to the will of the five emperors, five gods and five spirits. Five emperors, five gods and five spirits are in charge of yin and yang and five elements. Therefore, to act according to the will of the five emperors, five gods and five spirits is to follow Yin and Yang and cultivate the five elements. Because only when Yin and Yang are reconciled and everything is ready, the five emperors, five gods and five spirits will be satisfied, the immortals will be happy, and Fu Rui will come at the request of Germany. In order to reconcile Yin and Yang, White Tiger Yi Tong thought that the son of heaven should attend the shooting ceremony in person in spring. Because spring is weak, the fear of things is suffocating, and he can't reach himself. (2) and the sun be the spirit is weak in winter, the king should lead the world to be quiet, stop fighting, don't lift things, and close the door to make business trips impossible. (3) Not only that, but even the daily life of the Emperor should be suitable for Yin and Yang. For example, the king, so the four eclipses He Ming, four things in the world, four times to eat. The four sides are uneven, the four seasons are not smooth, and there are ways to understand thoroughly. Therefore, I am supreme and obey the law.
The king lives in the center and controls all sides. Ping Dan food, the beginning of shaoyang; Eclipse, the beginning of the sun; Diet, the beginning of less yin; The solar eclipse is also the beginning of the lunar calendar. In short, important political activities, as small as four meals a day, should follow Yin and Yang. Regarding the five elements, White Tiger Yi Tong said: Jue has five grades, and the five elements are also 2; There are five punishments in politics and five elements in law. Great efforts were made to put out the fire, and the imperial secretary drowned the earth, the gold coffin, the wooden pass and the ink man won the gold. Wang marries nine women, but not the same surname, which shows that the five elements are different and they are born together.
To sum up, Baihu Yi Tong followed the theological thought route initiated by Dong Zhongshu, based on the supreme God and the five emperors, five gods and five spirits sent underground by God, and absorbed a lot of ideological materials such as Tai Chu, Tai Shi and Tai Su in Yi Wei, and finally built a huge and complete theological thought system with the purpose of demonstrating the theocracy of the monarch.
