Wenshui County, which belongs to Lvliang City, Shanxi Province, is located in the middle of Shanxi Province, at the west edge of Taiyuan Basin, at the east foot of Lvliang, across the Fenhe River from Qixian County and Pingyao County in the east, Fenyang City in the south, lishi district in the west and Jiaocheng County and Qingxu County in the north.
