What are the characteristics of Ru Ci?

Ru Ci is an important milestone in the history of celadon development in China, with exquisite craftsmanship, beautiful shape, rich glaze color, elegance and simplicity, and unique style. Ru Ci culture is an important part of Song Wenhua.

Ru Porcelain Kiln is located in Liang Qing Temple, Daying Town, Baofeng County, Henan Province. It was named after being affiliated to Ruzhou in the Song Dynasty. You are the Chief Porcelain, elegant and exquisite, supervised by officials, mostly royal products. Due to the short production time, extremely precise technological requirements and limited output, "only for the royal family to pick back, can be sold", so there are very few handed down products, so the Southern Song Dynasty has the sigh of "the advantage of the water is the first to get the moon"! The dignity of its identity can be seen.

Ru Ci's fetal quality is hard, delicate and fragrant gray. On the whole, the shape of the fetus is slightly bulging in the middle, slightly splayed at the mouth edge and feet, and the soles of the feet are mostly glazed. Zhi Ding is as small as sesame, and silicification can be seen in the broken mark of Zhi Ding. There should be plates, bowls, bottles, worship, washing, three-legged stoves and so on.

There are copper spots around the bubbles in your enamel, which are the highlights of agate crystals and pearls. Ru Ci, with bright surface and clean texture, is jade-like. The glaze color is composed of azure, pink, sky blue, bean green and moonlight. (Note: The unearthed sky-blue Ru Ci is grayish white due to soil immersion corrosion). Glaze flakes such as shriveled glaze, brown eyes, cicada wing pattern, fish egg pattern and crab claw pattern are the remarkable features to identify Ru Ci. There is something similar to fog cotton in the glaze under the magnifying glass, and occasionally there are tiny blue, maroon or other color particles under the glaze layer, which is caused by the crystallization of jade, agate and other minerals in the glaze room at high temperature. Ru Ci bubbles are mostly wrapped in glaze.

Bowls, saucers and bowls in Ru Ci are decorated with simple lotus petals on the outer walls and carved with radial straight lines on the inner walls. Its decorative patterns are mainly tangled branches, broken branches and group flowers. Besides carving and printing, it also uses scratching and picking techniques. When firing in Ru kiln, only large vessels use gaskets and padding, and most vessels use Zhi Ding firing method with foot-wrapped glaze. There are almost no exposed tires on the surface of Ru Ci, and the glaze color is seamless, and the brown eyes are clearly visible.
