The Connotation and Value of Filial Piety in The Analects of Confucius

I understand that the connotation of "filial piety" in The Analects can be summarized as: pursuing a good end and doing good things for parents, teachers and students, that is, children and younger generations respect and cherish their ancestors, inherit their ancestors, support and respect their parents, and students respect and respect their teachers. It can be summed up in twelve words, namely: respecting relatives, supporting, caring for diseases, establishing, advising and dying well. Its value lies in persuading people to be loyal, filial, benevolent, courteous, wise and trustworthy, and promoting the construction of spiritual civilization.
