The Institute of Archaeology of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (hereinafter referred to as "Institute of Archaeology of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences") signed a cooperation agreement with Suzhou Zhisheng Silk Science and Technology Center, the executive director of the resort chamber of commerce, and the textile archaeological research base of the Institute of Archaeology of China Academy of Social Sciences officially settled in the resort. ?
The base will integrate skilled craftsmen in the silk industry, carry forward the craftsman spirit, actively cultivate talents, and effectively promote the reproduction, protection and innovation of intangible and traditional silk treasures such as reeling, satin, yarn, four twists and makeup. This is the only textile archaeological research base established by the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in China, and it is an affirmation of Suzhou's overall silk skills and culture.
Wang Wei (academician), chairman of the China Archaeological Society and director of the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Wang Yarong, a national treasure researcher at the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Luo Yongping, secretary general of the Jiangsu Silk Association, and Bu Jianmin, deputy director of the China Silk Archives, and other leaders and experts attended the unveiling ceremony.
