Right Xiangfu, Jing 'an Division and Huahui Xianghui Building are the main components of the narrative space of the official court in the play. In the officialdom narrative space represented by the Right Prime Minister and Jing 'an Division, because they are the "base camps" of the Right Prime Minister and the Prince respectively, the space is relatively closed and the characters are relatively simple. So what is the scene and story of the officialdom court in The Longest Day In Chang'an?
First, the scene of the officialdom palace in The Longest Day In Chang'an
In the calyx Xianghui Building where the palace banquet was held, the scarlet building background, with a dazzling array of pure gold decorations, plus various curtains, partitions and lampposts, filled the space so full that there was almost no spare space, and the tension and oppression came to life after the splendor. At the same time, this scene maintains a high degree of picture symmetry, with the Xiangyun seat of the sage as the central axis, and the ministers on both sides, and all the decorative arrangements maintain mirror symmetry. This harsh symmetrical composition vividly conveys the solemnity and majesty of the court through images. As the prime minister of the ruling and opposition parties, Lin Jiulang's right-hand mansion is much lighter in color than that of the Calyx Xianghui Building, but there are many bonsai of flowers and plants and junior officials kneeling on both sides in the mansion, just like a simplified version of the court. This narrative space is also a realistic presentation of Lin Jiulang's ambition to covet the mercy wolf. These two kinds of palace and officialdom scenes show the temple heights different from the ordinary rivers and lakes, which is another side of Chang 'an City. However, although Jing 'an Division is also a palace space of officialdom, its open Shu Lang, simple and elegant layout is completely different from the above two kinds of scene styles, which also implies the difference between Prince Edward, Li Bi and others as a new generation of political forces and the old forces.
Second, the story produced by the officialdom court in The Longest Day In Chang'an
At first glance, the spatial layout of the right-hand mansion seems to have no gorgeous feeling because of its simple colors and more flowers and plants. However, if you look closely, you will find that the actual layout of the right house is quite gorgeous, but the colors of the utensils are not bright. Moreover, in order to ensure the good growth of flowers and plants in winter, there are actually a group of people wearing official clothes who use "sauna" to heat the inner room in the passage outside the greenhouse. Through these spatial information, an image of a traitor who is low-key and restrained in front of the emperor, has inflated actual ambitions and is desperate for power is outlined from the side. Different from the compactness of Right Xiangfu, Jing 'an Division is a rare open indoor space in the whole drama. Due to the hasty establishment, Jing 'an Division was rebuilt from a semi-finished temple, so not only the lobby Shu Lang was unobstructed, but also a large number of majestic and solemn tall Buddha statues remained. Through this kind of environment, the people of Jing 'an Company, represented by Li Bi, are further highlighted, with their open-minded and hateful personality characteristics and their determination to guard Chang 'an City like the Buddha statue of King Kong.
