Why Chinese characters are not suitable for movable type printing?

Personally, this is related to the demand trend of ancient books and periodicals industry. Some books have been popular for hundreds of thousands of years, and plate making is certainly more convenient than movable type printing. For example, books such as The Analects of Confucius, The University and The Doctrine of the Mean are all in fixed formats, so it is too much trouble to take out the engraving directly when printing. Another problem is China's Chinese characters.
