Wen Peng (1498- 1573) was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu. He is the eldest son of Wen Zhiming, a famous writer in Ming Dynasty. He was a doctor in imperial academy, Nanjing, and later transferred to imperial academy, Beijing. He is known as "Wen Guo Bo" in the world, and he is recognized as the first person in seal cutting by Ming scholars.
Tang Shunzhi's political career was bumpy. He planted pine trees, played the piano, raised cranes and lived in seclusion. Wen Peng makes friends with him.
