that occurs on both sides of the larynx in the anterior cervical region. The disease was first seen in Xu Shen's Shuo Wen Jie Zi in Han Dynasty, and the symptoms and causes of galls were discussed in detail in Chao Yuan Fang's Treatise on the Sources of Diseases in Sui Dynasty. In Song Dynasty, Chen Yuan's San Yin Fang divided them into five categories: stone galls, meat galls, muscle galls, blood galls and gas galls. There are four common types in modern times: gas galls, meat galls, stone galls and galls. Generally speaking, the onset of scabies is related to soil and water factors, or it is caused by stagnation of qi and phlegm in the neck due to anxiety and anger, liver depression and spleen dysfunction. (1) gas dysentery. The syndrome is that the neck is swollen, the margin is unclear, the skin color is as usual, it is soft, and it rises and falls with emotions, which is similar to simple goiter and some endemic goiter. The treatment should be to regulate qi and relieve depression, resolve phlegm and soften firmness, strengthen the spleen and remove dampness. Cut it with Sihai Shuyu Pill or seaweed Yuhu decoction; Iodine, acupuncture and surgical treatment can also be selected. ② Flesh gall. Single or multiple lumps in the neck, like a bowl, with normal skin color, soft as cotton and hard as stone, may be accompanied by impatience, sweating, palpitation and chest tightness. Similar to thyroid tumor and nodular goiter. Treatment should be to relieve depression and resolve phlegm, with softness and firmness. Use seaweed Yuhu decoction, externally apply Yang Jiening ointment, and take surgical treatment if necessary. ③ stone galls. The neck mass is uneven and firm, and there may be symptoms of compression of trachea, esophagus and vocal cords in the later stage. It is equivalent to a thyroid tumor. Treatment should be phlegm-resolving, qi-moving, soft and firm, with seaweed Yuhu decoction, external application of Yang Jiening ointment and Ferula powder, or surgery and other therapies. ④ furuncle and carbuncle. The symptoms are caking, swelling, burning and pain on both sides of the neck, accompanied by fever, headache, etc., soft and less purulent. Similar to acute or subacute thyroiditis. It is advisable to dispel wind, clear heat and eliminate phlegm, and use Burdock Jieji Decoction to add and subtract. After the exterior syndrome disappears, it is advisable to soothe the liver and clear heat, eliminate phlegm and reduce swelling, and use Chaihu Qinggan Decoction to add and subtract, and externally apply Jinhuangsan to the affected area. Prevention should be to supply iodized salt in areas where gas consumption is prevalent. Inject iodized oil in iodine deficiency areas.
