Pink flowers, who knows, what kind of plant is this?

This is Sophora japonica, also known as Robinia pseudoacacia, Sophora japonica, Sophora Jiangnan, a deciduous tree, which has strong saline-alkali resistance and is a good tree species for landscaping in saline-alkali land. Beijing, Shanghai and other places are cultivated.

morphological character

Deciduous trees, up to 2-4 cm; Branches and pedicels densely covered with red bristles. Odd pinnate compound leaves,

Leaflets 7- 15, suborbicular or long, 2-5 cm long. Racemes, with 3-7 flowers, corolla rose or lavender. Its stems, branchlets, pedicels and petioles all have red bristles, and its leaves are similar to Robinia pseudoacacia. Growth habit of liking light, shallow roots and developed lateral roots. I like warm and fertile soil. Garden is a rare ornamental tree species in courtyards, small gardens and parks.

Breeding and cultivation

The propagation of Robinia pseudoacacia mostly uses Robinia pseudoacacia as rootstock for "cutting". Before germination in spring, select large and robust Robinia pseudoacacia, cut it into wedges according to a certain height, put the cortex together, bind it with thin plastic ropes, put on plastic bags to prevent water evaporation, and take it out after germination. The surviving Robinia pseudoacacia grows rapidly and its crown expands outward in an umbrella shape. In the next year, it will be full of flowers and beautiful. Robinia pseudoacacia can also blossom twice a year. The method is to cut off all the tops of branches in the first half of June after the first flowering in spring, so that new branches can sprout, and a large number of buds can appear in early July, and then bloom again.

Sophora japonica is big and beautiful, with strong cold and drought tolerance, fast growth, pruning resistance, strong germination ability and strong resistance to toxic gases such as smoke and hydrogen fluoride. What is more prominent is that its rootstock is Robinia pseudoacacia, so it has strong saline-alkali resistance. According to the determination, it still grows well in the soil with salt content of 7‰~ 9‰, and it is a good tree species for landscaping in saline-alkali land.
