Two typesetting steps of indesign

From the perspective of beginners, let me talk about my method of making typesetting and typesetting books. This article mainly discusses books with multiple texts. In order to highlight the content, we highlight all the binding design of a book, so the first step of typesetting is layout design. Many people will confuse layout design with typesetting. Perhaps layout design and typesetting are basically done by the same group of people. The layout design should be done according to the text content. Generally, an article will have a preface, a table of contents, a page number, a text, a postscript, etc., all of which need to be considered comprehensively. Because the editor will have a better understanding of the text content, he may describe a big emotional environment for you, whether it is relaxed or nervous, solemn or small and fresh, which requires the designer to at least have a big style understanding, and go to the bookstore to look it up if he doesn't understand it. Making typesetting is actually making several proofs. A document with hundreds of thousands of words, you can't put it. What is needed are representative texts, such as title page, copyright page, preface, a chapter text (with more pictures or more representative texts), chapter pages and postscript. There are still some places where the design must be racked, because the cover and title page are too important, so let's take a look at the articles inside: the layout of the book does not need to be designed, and the layout is the inherent template of the publisher, but the position of the layout is very important and it is placed on the title page. It mainly depends on the types of books and the number of prints. Browsing without copyright pages, table of contents, and the arrangement of blocks are very wear-resistant, especially how to adjust the design properly when the word length is particularly different. The page numbers are located before and after, and the color matching of various elements is very critical. If there is a chapter, this is definitely a big problem, and there are too many factors to consider. First, consider the influence of simple design. Of course, this is the most important thing. At the same time, we should also consider whether it is spread or single page. When deciding whether it is a single page, we should consider whether it is a left page or a right page. Assuming that the left page and the back page are left blank, these two problems will affect the integrity of the whole book. The title, footer title and footnote contain a lot of information, such as page number, title, chapter name or other information, which is sometimes not all included, for example This information is actually an element of design, and how to arrange it needs careful consideration. The text is in chunks, which is even more troublesome if there is a picture. It is necessary to divide the pattern, and the size of the text, font, line spacing, word spacing, the distance before and after paragraphs, and the extrusion of punctuation should be considered. Attention must be paid to the setting of titles and footnotes at all levels. When designing the above contents, various reference lines and grid lines need to be established. All texts should have corresponding paragraph styles and character styles. Stroke, shadow, and fill objects should have corresponding object styles, and tables should have corresponding table styles and cell styles. In short, any object that appears in the layout should be styled. Think back to this question. I have repeatedly emphasized the importance of paragraph styles, really. When designing the layout, We must consider the cost factor. There are many factors that will affect the cost, so we should give priority to the number of color prints and layout prints. Of course, the fewer colors, the cheaper it is. Sometimes, two-color printing will be used to take into account the cost and force, and a spot color document will be shared with you later. If you look carefully at the copyright page of a book, you will find that it is XX.,XX.5 prints, and almost XX.125,XX.75 prints. If XX appears, If XX.8(1,2,3,4,6,7,9) prints appear, basically this book will be of great collection value. When the typesetting design is passed, all the pictures and texts will be put into typesetting, and the actual situation will definitely be different from that imagined. The most difficult thing is to adjust the layout. Once the publisher decides to cut one or two layouts, many parameters will change, which requires not only good technical support, but also good technical support. It's been adjusted for a whole day, from 33 to 32, and now it's half an hour. After the framework is completed, the rest is to fill in the content. Step 2: typesetting. Put the text and pictures in InDesign and apply the corresponding style to the corresponding text. It's as simple as that. Indeed, in actual operation, you may be confused about this simple operation. There are too many operation methods to master, and these skills should be seen in all kinds of teaching videos. Let's talk about how to completely copy a document, first of all, the size, including the layout and the size of the center, and then the parameters of various styles, so as to determine the correct position of some elements appearing in a fixed position. Basically, it is not difficult to complete these steps to copy a document. Summarize the typesetting steps: 1. Typesetting design. 2. Filling printing.
