Architectural design:
Burj Dubai is designed by SOM, which is famous for its super-high-rise projects such as Sears Tower and Freedom Tower in new york. There are 1000 luxury apartments in the building. The surrounding supporting projects include: Longcheng, Dubai Mall and supporting hotels, houses, apartments, business centers and other projects.
The Burj Dubai also includes the world's fastest elevator made by ThyssenKrupp, with a speed of17.5m/s. Before that, the world's fastest elevator was Taipei Tower in Taiwan Province Province, China, with a speed of 10 1 6.8m/s.
The Burj Khalifa is designed in Islamic architectural style, with a Y-shaped floor, and three building parts gradually become a core, rising from the desert. The spiral pattern reduces the cross-section of the building, making it more straight into the sky, and the central core is transformed into minarets, reaching the top. The Y-shaped floor also provides a better view for Burj Khalifa.
