Why is the manuscript of Yongle Dadian mysteriously missing?

Many of us have heard of Sikuquanshu, but not many people have heard of Yongle Dadian. In fact, Yongle Dadian may be the ancestor of Sikuquanshu. Many of Sikuquanshu are taken from Yongle Dadian, and then integrated into translation. Therefore, Yongle Dadian is the earliest reference book in China, which contains many ancient books, covering many fields, from astronomical geography to agricultural cultivation, medicine, accounting and so on.

"Yongle Dadian" was revised by the king in the Ming Dynasty, including all the classics before the Ming Dynasty, hoping to facilitate people to watch it in the future. The king at that time was really visionary. Modifying such a good thing is a great cultural relic in our country. We have gained a lot from Yongle Dadian now, but only a part of Yongle Dadian is still a specimen.

Why do you say it's a transcript? This is because after the death of Wang Shang at that time, in order to commemorate him, the original Yongle Dadian, which he ordered to be revised, was buried in his grave, so the original Yongle Dadian was gone. However, we don't have many manuscripts left. It is said that Eight-Nation Alliance robbed a lot when it invaded China, so it lost a lot. Because it was chaotic, others secretly took it and sold it.

In this way, only the remnants of our present Yongle ceremony are left, which is indeed a great loss to our culture, but there is nothing we can do about it.
