In the third year of Qingli in the Northern Song Dynasty (1043), Yingyang County was abolished and established, which is now Yingyang Town in the southwest of Dengfeng City, Henan Province. In four years (1044), it was restored to Yingyang County. In the second year of Xining (1069), the county was abolished and turned into a town. In the second year of Yuanyou (1087), it was restored as a county. Jinyou abolished the county and turned it into a town.

(1) In the west of Dengfeng City, Henan Province. Area is 89.5 square kilometers. Population 50,000. The town people's government is located in Yingyang, with a population of 6480. It was named because it once belonged to Yingchuan County in ancient times and the county was located to the north of Kuanghe River. In the Han Dynasty, it was governed by Lunshi County, in the Northern Wei Dynasty, it was governed by Yingyang County, in the Sui Dynasty, it was governed by Wulin County and Lunshi County, and in the Tang Dynasty, it was governed by Wulin County and Yingyang County. Yingyang Commune was built in 1961, changed to a township in 1983, and established as a town in 1993. Produces wheat, corn, tobacco leaves, etc. There are coal mines and ferrosilicon, caustic soda and other plants. Zhenglu Highway passes here. Places of interest include Yingyang Ruins, Chongfa Temple and Baolin Temple. (2) In the northeast of Xiangcheng County, Henan Province. Area is 58.5 square kilometers. Population 52,000. The town people's government is in Mazhuang, with a population of 470. The Ying River flows through the territory, and it was once Yingyang County in the Western Han Dynasty, hence its name. Yingqiao Commune was established in 1958, changed to Dongfanghong Commune in 1966, and restored to Yingqiao Commune in 1971. It was changed to Yingqiao Township in 1984, Yingyang Township in 1985, and a town in 1994. It produces wheat, corn, sweet potatoes, soybeans, tobacco leaves, etc., and specializes in noodles and vermicelli. There are brick-making, chemical, emery, flour, cotton spinning and other factories. National Highway 311 passes here. Historic sites include Sihou Tomb, Xiaohe Ruins, etc.
