Yunnan introduction
Yunnan Province, called Yun or Dian for short, is one of the 23 provinces in China, located in the southwest of China, with Kunming as its capital. It is between 218 ′ ~ 2915 ′ north latitude and 97 31′ ~1061′ east longitude. It borders Guizhou and Guangxi in the east, Sichuan in the north and Tibet in the northwest. The total area of Yunnan Province is 394 1 10,000 square kilometers, accounting for 4. 1% of the total land area in China, ranking eighth in the country.
Yunnan Province is a low latitude inland area, and the Tropic of Cancer runs through the south. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, and it descends step by step from north to south, belonging to mountainous plateau terrain. The mountainous area accounts for 88.64% of the province's total area, spanning six major water systems: Yangtze River, Pearl River, Yuanjiang River, Lancang River, Nujiang River and Daying River.
The climate of Yunnan province basically belongs to subtropical and tropical monsoon climate, while the northwest of Yunnan belongs to plateau and mountain climate.
