Where is Dongtu Datang?

Dongtu Datang is the area where the ancient Tang Dynasty was located. Specifically, Dongtu Datang refers to Chang 'an, which is Xi 'an in Shaanxi today.

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi, Shaanxi Province was built by Xuanzang to preserve the scroll Buddha statue that Tianzhu brought back to Chang 'an through the Silk Road.

The Tang Priest went to the Buddhist Temple in Lei Yin in the Western Heaven to learn Buddhist scriptures. The location of Leiyin Temple is Tianzhu, which is today's India. Because ancient India was in the west of China, Tang Priest called China the land of the East, and the Tang Dynasty was called the Tang Dynasty because of its strong national strength.
