The Annals of Zhejiang during Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty has always been called a good chronicle. However, although it has been published many times since its establishment, it is either a thread-bound version or a photocopy of the original text, and there is no punctuation horizontal version suitable for today's reading habits, which brings great inconvenience to the popularization and use of local chronicles, and its academic value and historical value are also difficult to give full play to.
At the beginning of the new century, with the attention and support of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and the provincial people's government, the Provincial Local Records Compilation Committee organized human and financial resources, and after two years of efforts, in February 2006 1 1, the punctuation of Zhejiang Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty was simplified for the first time, which was published by Zhonghua Book Company. This punctuation is based on the photocopying version of Zhejiang Tongzhi by the Commercial Press in the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), and refers to the punctuation of Sikuquanshu. In order to facilitate readers' retrieval, this punctuation book has also compiled a punctuation book directory (divided into two parts: the in-volume directory and the out-of-volume directory) and an index, which are compiled at the beginning and end of the local records respectively.
The publication of the punctuated edition of Zhejiang Tongzhi in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty is very beneficial for historians and modern local chroniclers to explore this information-rich treasure in depth. And its value is not limited to academic research, but also provides guidance for government officials at all levels in Zhejiang Province to understand local history, national conditions, provincial conditions and county conditions. At present, Zhejiang Local Records Compilation Committee is carrying out the work of sorting out and publishing the old local records in the province in a planned and step-by-step way, and making them form a series to preserve this precious cultural heritage, serve today and pass it on to future generations.
The book is about 8 million words, 32 folio, bound in 15 volumes, and priced at 1800 yuan.
