" Later generations of doctors often use this as a way of superposition of several pathogenic factors. For example, "Su Ling Jie Zhu" thinks that this is the true qi "the evil that hurts first, and the external wind attacks it, then it becomes worse and becomes a disease";
The interpretation of syndrome in Huangdi Neijing Tai Su and Huangdi Neijing Lingshu also emphasizes that it is caused by many factors. On this basis, the theory of febrile diseases in later generations has been further refined and developed, forming the theory of "latent febrile diseases"
Modern scholars generally believe that what is described here is the empathy of the old and new evils, and some interpret this scripture as heat sweating and phlegm-resolving susceptibility to wind pathogens. Although it has not been attacked by unhealthy qi at four o'clock, there are such internal factors, so the disease is caused by external factors. Whether it is the theory of febrile disease or the induction of new and old evils, many factors add up to make people sick.
"Cause increase" actually reflects the way that the human body can't maintain its normal state after being repeatedly disturbed by pathogenic factors, which leads to the occurrence of diseases.
In addition to "arising from addition", different chapters in Neijing have different views on pathogenesis, such as the view of contending between good and evil, the view of internal cause and external cause, the view of two deficiency and the view of three deficiency. Among them, "the view of conflict between good and evil" and "the view of internal and external causes" both focus on the analysis of the causes of diseases.
The former pays more attention to the role of pathogens in the body, and the struggle between healthy qi and pathogens leads to diseases. When based on the human body, the process of struggle between good and evil is the process of self-harmony of qi in the human body, and the result of disease is the biased expression of righteousness in the human body.
Therefore, Su Wen's theory of three steps and nine afterthoughts says, "Don't ask him about his illness, but treat him well." It is the principle of disease nursing to level the deviated healthy qi, cure the disease and prevent the deviated healthy qi from being injured again.
The concept of "disease due to addition" is based on healthy qi and pays attention to the superposition of different factors, which can better reflect the overall concept of Neijing and has more generality and universality in the understanding, treatment and prevention of diseases.
