Geographical distribution of Chinese milk vetch
Milk vetch, also known as safflower, is a relatively mature herb-Astragalus membranaceus, which is mostly used in rice fields in late autumn. As the base fertilizer of early rice, rice is the most important crop in winter. Flowering in 2 to 4 months, the flowers are umbrella-shaped and purple, and the flowering period is 30 to 40 days. Originated in southern China, the main producing areas are Hunan, Jiangxi, Hubei, Zhejiang, Anhui and other provinces.
