Secretary of Beijing Zhengyang Bookstore

? Beijing Zhengyang Bookstore is located at No. 43 Xisi South Street, Xicheng District. It was established in 2009 and has Zhengyang Library. It is dedicated to the protection, development and utilization of Beijing’s historical documents. It is currently the only bookstore in Beijing that only operates A bookstore for old maps of Beijing and literature and books related to old Beijing.

? The courtyard where the bookstore is located is the place where Xingxiu, the master of Yelu Chucai icon, a famous minister of the Yuan Dynasty, was buried after his death. Xingxiu was a famous Zen monk in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties. He was known as the "Old Man of Wansong" because he lived in Wansongxuan for a long time. Xingxiu's cemetery is built in this courtyard. It is a gray brick seven-level dense eaves tomb tower, called the Wansong Old Man Pagoda. It was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council on March 5, 2013. The alley on the north side of the pagoda is named "Zhuangta Hutong" because of the pagoda. The alley has a long history, which can be traced back to the Yuan Dadu period. It has been recorded in documents from the Yuan, Ming, Qing, and the Republic of China until today.
