Achievements of Korean medical women and medical officers ~ ~ ~

Medical women are divided into three levels: internal medicine, medical doctor and beginner.

The reward and punishment law created by Sai-jo established the promotion system of medical women to a certain extent, but until the last years of Sai-jo, the hierarchy between medical women was still very vague. After Emperor Chengzong succeeded to the throne, he was determined to make the medical female system more complete, so he accepted Cao Li's suggestion in February of nine years (1478) and made a series of reforms and supplements to the medical female system:

Li's advice to medical women: "The art librarian and two famous civil servants, both professors, take turns teaching. Studying in a medical and women's hospital: Zhimai, Tongren Jing, thirteen prescriptions of addition and subtraction, women's door of harmony, and book production. Medical women are divided into three categories: one is two physicians who deliver meals every month, and the other is twenty doctors who see a doctor. Last month, four people who drew more pictures were given food. I began to study medicine in the third grade. In the first half of each month, I will talk about books, pulse-taking and medicine-taking in the middle, and acupuncture in the later period. At the age of 20, I copied the doctor's notes and ordered me to solve the prescription, feel the pulse, point medicine and acupuncture. I took the exam for a year and talked about the rise and fall of painting. Those who failed the exam were robbed. In the early years, win one; The following year, two places were awarded; Three years, debt repayment. When you are new to medicine, don't decide to see a doctor, so you can specialize in it. Those who have reached the age of 40, can't reach one party and have no other skills will be repaid. Every year, every division will give a maid to pick and choose. " From it. [ 19]

By strictly stipulating the medical books that medical women must study, the medical level of medical women will be gradually improved, thus making greater contributions to the development of Korean medicine. As for dividing female medical staff into three grades, it aims to establish a promotion system for female medical staff and make the system of female medical staff in North Korea more complete.

At the same time, the medical system of the Korean dynasty also changed during the reign of Emperor Chengzong. 1 1 month (1478), at the request of Cao Li, the name of "Jisheng Hospital" was changed to "Jisheng Department", and its responsibilities were formally stipulated as collecting rural medicinal materials, compiling medical books, assessing medical personnel, educating, training and managing medical women. [20] In addition, because there are fewer and fewer doctors and women with excellent medical skills, Cheng Chengyuan suggested to Cheng Zong that more teenage women should be selected to enter the palace, and ordered them to learn China traditional Confucian classics such as the Four Books before learning medical skills. Chengzong agreed to this suggestion and set the age of girls entering the palace at 12 to 13. [2 1] This undoubtedly broadens the source of medical women and makes the system of medical women in North Korea develop further.
