The annotation of chapters and sentences in the four books is an important annotation of the four books. Its contents are divided into University Chapters (volume 1), Doctrine of the Mean Chapters (volume 1), The Analects of Confucius (volume 10) and Mencius (volume 14). For the first time, Zhu juxtaposed The Great Learning and The Doctrine of the Mean in The Book of Rites with The Analects of Confucius and Mencius, and thought that the Confucian classics in The Great Learning were described by Confucius and Biography was written from the origin. The Doctrine of the Mean is "Confucius teaches the heart" and "Zi Si writes books to teach Mencius". The four are inherited and integrated from top to bottom. The annotations in Daxue and The Doctrine of the Mean are called "chapters and sentences", while the annotations in The Analects of Confucius and Mencius are called "concentrated notes". Later generations are collectively referred to as "four books, chapters and sentences" or "four books" for short.
Notes on Four Books and Sentences (Volume 19) was published by Zhu Yu in Zhangzhou in 1 190. Later, I learned a lot of handouts or essence books about the "Four Books". According to the statistics of Fujian Tongzhi, there are 150 kinds of Zhu scholars' writings in Fujian alone. His style of study is basically emphasizing righteousness over reason, forming a tradition of not talking empty words and serving the purpose. Therefore, the general preface of the "Summary of Sikuquanshu" said: "After Luo and Fujian, Taoism flourished; Put down the Han and Tang dynasties and learn benevolence and righteousness alone; All the old sayings in Confucian classics are considered unreliable. "It can be said that the book" Notes on Four Books and Chapters "inherits the classics, enlightens the next generation of students and is passed down from generation to generation. The elements of China's traditional culture should not be underestimated.
