The Economic Situation of Dongxi Town

Lu Zhi's Tomb is located in Cuiping Mountain, Dongxi Town, Zhongxian County, Chongqing, not far from Xinchang Town, above Shenxikou, and across the river from Baigong Temple. The common people all know its place name is Lu.

Lu Zhi was a wise man in the Tang Dynasty, and his academic talent and moral demeanor won praise at that time and later generations. Quan Deyu is compared to Jia Yi in Han Dynasty, and Su Shi thinks that he is a "Wang Zuo" and a "teacher". There are many works, among which Lu Ji (also known as Lu Hanyuan Ji, reprinted by Zhejiang Ancient Books Publishing House 1988) has been handed down to this day. His political articles, such as the Memorial and the Imperial edict, have been handed down from ancient times to the present, and are called "useful words for the world", "clear and immortal stone" and "all political gains and losses in ancient and modern times are well known, which is enough to be a mirror for all generations". There are many descendants of Lu who have thrived in Jiaxing and Huzhou. Jiaxing, formerly known as Luchi (now in Jiaxing Auto Parts Factory), was carved with stone carvings in previous dynasties and was destroyed in the Cultural Revolution. The original Gong Xuan Academy outside the East Gate of Jiaxing City ceased to exist in the Qing Dynasty. It is well known that the original stone bridge outside the East Gate was called Gongxuan Bridge. The river was demolished during the regulation, and there is Gong Xuan Road nearby. There used to be a tomb of Lu Zhi near Xingfeng in the suburbs (according to the death of Lu Zhi, it was buried in Dongxi Town, Zhongxian County, and this tomb is a cenotaph), which no longer exists. The ancient fashion in the suburbs includes Lu's reading desk, the crane place and other historical sites.
