With the sharp increase of mobile phone pixels, paper book scanning no longer needs a scanner. Many mobile apps not only realize clearer scanning, but also have the functions of automatic alignment, automatic cropping and automatic recognition. Through the app, a book can be easily turned into an editable e-book.
As a consultant, I often need to convert some paper materials provided by customers into electronic versions. Manual input is too troublesome and OCR recognition tools are needed. There are two of my favorite recognition tools, (1) OneNote that comes with Office, and (2) Mobile APP scanning omnipotent king.
Tool 1: OneNote
When OneNote recognizes text, you need to copy the picture into OneNote software, and then right-click to copy the text in the picture, and OneNote will automatically recognize the text.
Everyone has an Office, so OneNote is the most commonly used and universal tool, but OneNote needs to take photos of paper materials, forward them to the computer, then copy them to OneNote one by one, and finally identify them. Therefore, when there is not much information, I like to use OneNote, but when there is more information, I will use another tool: scanning Almighty King.
Tool 2: Scan Almighty King
Scanning Almighty King is a mobile APP, which can scan the whole book into pictures and recognize words. The most recommended thing is that it can be aligned automatically. After all, when we take pictures, it is impossible to be so standard. There will always be dislocations, shooting irrelevant content, crooked pictures and so on.
Reminder:
1. This APP can save photos as PDF, but there is a charge. The solution is to use the data cable to copy the pictures to the computer and send them to PDF or PPT, without wasting money.
2, the picture can be automatically cut, but you need to pay. Personally, the default clipping function of the system is enough, and there is no need to open any member function.
(1) Open the software to take photos, and the APP will automatically identify the contents of the book, as shown below, and the system will automatically filter out irrelevant contents such as the keyboard and the left book frame.
(2) Select Normal and save it as a picture after automatic cutting, as shown in the following figure.
(3) If you choose to take photos to read, you will automatically connect to the network and identify through the cloud. The effect is shown below, and the recognition rate is almost perfect.

It is unclear whether the platform will collect customer information, personal suggestions, key information or confidential information. It is best to use OneNote for identification.
